Treatment for Weight Regain
Unfortuantely, weight regain after bariatric surgery can happen to some patients. Dr. Catania and the team at Southern New Hampshire Weight Management have a treatment pathway for patients in this situation. You will be evaluated to see if there are any surgically correctable issues that have developed, and you have access to Registered Dieticians, Physical Therapists, and medical professionals Board Certified in Obesity Medicine. If you had bariatric surgery in a different location, our staff can also provide annual check ups to evaluate for vitamin or mineral deficiencies before problems develop.
Support Groups
Southern New Hampshire Weight Management offers monthly support groups for patients interested in weight loss. These groups are currently held "virtually" due to the restrictions on large gatherings in place to help prevent the spread of COVID19. Dr Catania and other staff from the department participate in these groups to offer ongoing guidance and to help patients achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
For patients interested in weight loss surgery, we also offer a monthly information session that provides information about obesity as a disease and the medical and surgical treatments available.
To sign up for an information session or for more information on the support group, please contact us by email using the button below.
Weight Loss Medications
Some patients will not achieve optimal results from bariatric surgery, either because they don't lose enough weight from surgery or because they regain weight years later. Dr. Catania and the team at Southern New Hampshire Weight Management employ numerous FDA approved medications to help patients achieve the results they desire.
